Erica Bhasin is a chemical engineer and has been working in the sustainability industry for 6 years. Together with her brother, she co-founded Sustainoware in response to the need for easilydisposable yet high-functioning packaging. They recognized that most sustainable packaging options necessitate complex end-of-life management and often lose structural integrity within minutes when exposed to hot foods or liquids. To address this issue, they developed an innovative, robust, home-compostable, and versatile packaging solution initially for the F&B industry, and later for theshort-term packaging market. Erica is a vocal advocate for decarbonisation of industry and a proud supporter of women in STEM
