Maria Lopez, Drinks Business Women in Wine 2023 winner, has significantly impacted Majestic Commercial since joining in March 2022. Under her leadership, the on-trade arm of the group has seen double-digit sales growth for two consecutive years, defying a declining market. She curated over 300 on-trade exclusive lines, now making up 70% of on-trade sales, and expanded the customer base. Notably, she helped Manchester City Football Club build the world''s best wine list for a stadium. Maria also launched the Commercial Development Programme in late 2022, mentoring high-potential colleagues and fostering new talent. In 2024, Majestic Commercial was named On Trade Supplier of the Year by the Drinks Business, a company first. Previously, Maria was Off-trade Sales Director at Accolade Wines for 10 years and gained on-trade experience at AB InBev. Her professional approach and team-galvanizing skills make her a driving force in the UK wine industry.
