Bringing people and technology together for over 18 years, Ken Ume''s experience in product marketing spans across various business technologies - including cloud computing, workforce management, ERP, research and encryption. At the heart of his work lies a relentless passion for human-centred technology. Focused on understanding the motivations and pain of users, Ken strives to unlock new ways of working and decision making that truly improve the lives of real people. Currently leading product marketing for Mapal Group, Ken brings this drive to hospitality''s back of house technology rat''s nest - developing and connecting tools to remove manual work, improve productivity, increase employee satisfaction, and progression and creating unified oversight for operators.

Originally from Ireland Emma studied a Bachelors in Business. After University Emma moved to Edinburgh where she intermittently worked in hospitality as a restaurant manager. Emma started with Mapal in 2019 as an on boarding consultant working on a variety of customers throughout my career. Over the 5 years Emma has been in the business where she has worked her way up through the rankings on the on boarding team to her current role as Head of Onboarding UK.

Dan Barnes is the Founder and Managing Director of Flourish Hospitality, working with hospitality businesses to create a culture of learning and development to engage and retain teams. Dan specialises in meaningful guest connections, the finesse of service, management, and leadership training.

Dan has built Learning and Development for hospitality businesses from the ground up, trained and developed hospitality professionals at all levels and spearheaded openings for luxury hospitality brands such as Annabel’s and, most recently, The Peninsula London.
